The best site to sell USDT in Nigeria is the one that pays naira into your bank account on the network your USDT is sitting on. At the moment, there are ten such sites. Six of them buy the USDT directly from you: Swapto, Breet, Monica, Prestmit, Quickchain and Yesa. Four of them link you to a buyer using the P2P system: Bitget, Bybit, CoinCola and Remitano.
One rule before anything else. If you sell on P2P, don’t release your USDT until the full amount shows in your own bank app. Not on a screenshot. Not on an SMS. In your bank app.
You’ve certainly found yourself in this situation: a client pays you in USDT, the rent is due on Friday, and each person in your group chat has a different favourite ‘best app’. One person insists on using Bybit, another claims that only P2P transactions offer a good rate, and yet someone else lost money last month and won’t explain how. That’s where this guide comes in.
What websites currently allow you to sell USDT for naira?
Here’s the quick version. Swapto is first because it’s our app. The rest are sorted by type and then A to Z, so don’t read the order as a ranking.
| Site | Type | USDT networks (as stated) | Payout time (as stated) | Fees (as stated) | Checked |
| Swapto (our app) | Direct sale | TRC-20, ERC-20, BEP-20 | 5 to 10 minutes after you sell | Not published | 29 Oct 2026 |
| Breet | Direct sale | Tron, Ethereum (ERC), Polygon (MATIC) | “within a few minutes” | Not stated on its cash-out page | 29 Oct 2026 |
| Monica | Direct sale | TRC20, ERC20, BEP20, Solana | Under 60 seconds after the network confirms | 0% conversion, 0% bank withdrawal, free USDT deposits | 29 Oct 2026 |
| Prestmit | Direct sale | Not stated | A trade “typically takes 5 to 15 minutes” | Not stated | 29 Oct 2026 |
| Quickchain | Direct sale | TRC20, ERC20, BEP20, OP, MATIC, SOL, ARB, TON | “Most transactions settle in 2 to 5 minutes” | Not stated | 29 Oct 2026 |
| Yesa | Direct sale | TRC-20 named; the rest shown in the app | A median of 4.7 seconds, by its own measurement | “Zero sell fees” | 29 Oct 2026 |
| Bitget P2P | P2P | Your Bitget wallet | Depends on the buyer | “zero fees on Bitget P2P” | 29 Oct 2026 |
| Bybit P2P | P2P | Your Bybit wallet | Depends on the buyer | Not checked for this guide | 16 Oct 2026 |
| CoinCola | P2P | Your CoinCola wallet | Depends on the buyer | “No fee” on its offer table | 29 Oct 2026 |
| Remitano | P2P | Your Remitano wallet | Depends on the buyer | Not checked for this guide | 16 Oct 2026 |
The payout times are each company’s own words. We didn’t do test sales, so take them as promises, not proof.
Why do Bybit and Remitano have an older date? Both sites blocked our check on 29 October. Their status comes from our guide to P2P crypto exchanges in Nigeria. Open their NGN page yourself before you send anything.
How we compared
For the purpose of creating this list, a website had to state on its own website or app that USDT can be sold and that naira will then be credited to a Nigerian bank account. That’s all. If a website had announced that it was closing down, it was excluded.
Then we checked the same things on every one:
• which USDT networks it takes
• how fast it says you’ll get paid
• what it says it charges
• how it checks your identity
• how you reach support
• what it says about regulation
In cases where no information was given, we entered ‘not stated’. We didn’t make any guesses.
We’ll come back to this list every quarter and note what changed at the bottom. Selling Bitcoin or another coin instead? See our guide to apps that convert crypto to cash in Nigeria.
Which apps buy USDT from you directly?
This is the no-wahala route. You send USDT to an address in the app, the app buys it, and naira lands in your account. Nobody to chat with. Nobody to beg to mark the order as paid.
The trade-off? The app sets the rate. You can’t negotiate.
Getting paid in USDT for freelance work? Read how to receive crypto from foreign clients too.
Swapto (our app)

On Swapto, you can send USDT over TRC-20, ERC-20, or BEP-20. Switch on auto-sell, and it converts the moment your deposit is credited, at whatever the live rate is then. Prefer to wait for a better moment? Leave auto-sell off, and the USDT just sits in your wallet till you decide.
Before you confirm a sale, the app shows you the exact naira amount. Swapto says the money reaches any Nigerian bank 5 to 10 minutes after you sell.
Fees? We don’t publish a figure yet, and we won’t make one up for this article. The network fee your sending wallet charges is separate. You verify your identity in the app. Swapto operates within Nigeria’s regulatory framework through a licensed partner.
Where Swapto falls short: only three USDT networks, no order book, and no haggling on price. Support runs 9am to 9pm WAT every day on WhatsApp (+234 811 337 2579) and email (support@useswapto.com), so it’s not 24 hours.
Chat with Swapto on WhatsAppAfter you sell, you can buy airtime and data, or pay electricity and cable TV, from your naira balance. Sell USDT for naira on Swapto.
Breet

Breet’s FAQ lists its USDT networks as “USDT (TRX, ERC & MATIC)”. So Tron, Ethereum and Polygon work. BEP-20 isn’t on the list.
That matters if your USDT is on BNB Smart Chain. Check before you send.
Breet says “Most transactions on Breet are completed within a few minutes”. We didn’t find a fee on its crypto-to-cash page. It says InBreetic Technologies Limited, its Nigerian company, “has a pending application for admission to the Accelerated Regulatory Incubation Program” and “is registered with the Nigerian Financial Intelligence Unit (NFIU)”. Support is support@breet.io and a help centre.
Monica

Monica puts more numbers on the table than most. It takes USDT on TRC20, ERC20, BEP20 and Solana, with “free deposits” on all four. Fees on both ends are listed as zero: a “0% conversion fee” and a “0% bank withdrawal fee”. For payout, Monica’s line is “Under 60s after the network confirms”. Bold claim, and we haven’t tested it.
Verification is light too. Monica only asks for “your NIN plus a selfie”.
Small gotcha: its USDT page says the minimum is $5 in one place and “no strict minimum” in another. Selling a small amount? Confirm in the app first. Monica calls itself “a crypto off ramp. It is not an exchange and it is not a bank”, and says its banking partners are “licensed by the CBN”.
Prestmit

With Prestmit, you “WAIT for 3 confirmations” (their capitals, not ours), and a trade “typically takes 5 to 15 minutes”. Funny enough, its USDT page is silent on which networks it accepts, which is a bit strange for a USDT page. What it does say, in its own words, is “Always check the rates and confirm the network before you send USDT.”
Take that advice. The page won’t tell you, so the app has to.
We found no fee, identity check, or regulatory wording on that page. The plus? “Live Chat Support is available 24/7.” If you do your selling at 1am, that counts for something.
Quickchain

Quickchain lists the most USDT networks of anyone here: TRC20, ERC20, BEP20, OP, MATIC, SOL, ARB and TON. It says “most transactions settle in 2 to 5 minutes”.
No fee is given. Its FAQ says costs “may vary depending on the network conditions and the type of transaction”.
Sign-up is “Email and phone first, then your BVN and a quick selfie”. Its USDT page names Crediswap Limited, Lagos, and says Quickchain “never holds your crypto; only your Naira”. It pays out to “Supported Nigerian banks”, but we couldn’t find that list. Ask support if your bank is on it.
Yesa

Yesa’s big claim is speed: a median bank payout of 4.7 seconds across 1,700 payouts. It’s upfront that these are “historical measurements, not guarantees”. It also advertises “Zero sell fees”.
The weak spot is networks. Its sell-USDT page names only TRC-20 and says the deposit screen “lists the networks available”. You’ll only see the full list once you’re in the app. It says “Wallet, payment and banking related services are facilitated through licensed partners”, for Yesatrix Technologies Limited.
Which P2P platforms take USDT for naira?
P2P works differently. You sell to a real person. The platform holds your USDT in escrow, the buyer sends naira to your bank, and you release the USDT once the money lands.
Because buyers compete, you can sometimes get a better rate than a direct-sale app. But you also face fake alerts, short payments and reversed transfers. Our guide to P2P crypto exchanges in Nigeria covers each scam.
Bitget P2P

On 29 October 2026, Bitget’s P2P sell page had NGN buyers waiting. Payment methods we saw: bank transfer, Opay, PalmPay, Union Bank, and UBA.
On escrow, the page says: “After placing the order, the coins will be held by Bitget P2P.” On fees: “Trade safely and easily with zero fees on Bitget P2P.” It shows merchant badges but doesn’t explain how merchants are verified. Bitget wasn’t named in SEC Nigeria’s circulars list when we checked on 23 October 2026.
Bybit P2P

We saw naira offers on Bybit on 16 October 2026. Its site blocked our check on 29 October, so look before you trade.
Heads up: Bybit removed eight naira payment methods on 1 September 2026. Those are Paga, Chipper Cash, Carbon Microfinance, Jaiz Bank, Stanbic IBTC, Ecobank, Polaris Bank, and Union Bank. Bank with one of them? You can’t use it there. More on Bybit’s removal of Nigerian payment methods. Bybit wasn’t named in SEC Nigeria’s circulars list on 23 October 2026.
CoinCola

CoinCola’s sell-USDT page had NGN offers on 29 October 2026, with bank transfer among them. It says: “CoinCola’s P2P escrow holds the cryptocurrency involved in a trade.” Honestly, this next line should be printed and pasted on every P2P seller’s wall: “A payment screenshot alone does not confirm receipt.” And the offer table? It says “No fee” right there.
One catch. Some offers pay into a CoinCola naira balance, not your bank. Want the money in your account? Pick a bank-transfer offer.
Remitano

Remitano had naira P2P offers on 16 October 2026. Like Bybit, it blocked our check on 29 October. So before you move a single USDT there, open its NGN page and see if anyone is actually buying today. It wasn’t named in SEC Nigeria’s circulars list on 23 October 2026.
Which network should you use to send USDT?
Use the network the receiving site shows on its deposit screen. Every single time.
This is the mistake that hurts the most, because there’s usually no undo. Monica puts it plainly: “If you copy a TRC20 address but send USDT on ERC20, your funds will be lost permanently and cannot be recovered.”
Here’s the cheat sheet:
| Network | Address starts with | You pay the fee in |
| TRC-20 (Tron) | T | TRX |
| ERC-20 (Ethereum) | 0x | ETH |
| BEP-20 (BNB Smart Chain) | 0x | BNB |
Notice the problem? ERC-20 and BEP-20 addresses both start with “0x”. They look the same. They are not the same.
Quick advice from people who’ve learnt the hard way: send a small test amount first. It costs a bit more in fees. It can save the whole balance.
Why is the USDT rate different from the bank rate?
Three rates get mixed up all the time:
- The official rate: the CBN’s rate from the Nigerian Foreign Exchange Market (NFEM)
- The parallel rate: what informal dealers pay for cash dollars
- A USDT rate: what one particular site pays you for one USDT
USDT is built to stay close to one US dollar. So its naira rate moves with the naira against the dollar, not with Bitcoin. Every site sets its own rate, which is why your cousin’s “rate” never matches yours. Compare the naira you’ll actually receive. You can check today’s USDT to naira rate on Swapto.
Which sites did we leave out, and why?
Some names you’ve heard of didn’t make it.
- Binance: P2P delisted all NGN pairs on 28 February 2024, and naira deposits and withdrawals ended in March 2024 (Nairametrics). The full story is in is Binance still available in Nigeria.
- KuCoin: its USDT/NGN page said “No ads match your current filters” on 29 October 2026.
- OKX: no offers showed on its NGN P2P page when we checked on 29 October 2026.
- Quidax: it ended P2P effective 23 January 2026, and we couldn’t open its site to check other ways to sell.
- Luno and Busha: we couldn’t confirm that individuals can sell USDT and get naira in a Nigerian bank.
- GCBuying: says you can sell USDT, but doesn’t say the naira goes to a bank.
- BitPay: ranks on Google for this search, but we couldn’t confirm it pays into Nigerian banks.
- Yellow Card: closing its retail app to focus on businesses (closure notice).
How do you sell USDT on Swapto?
Three steps:
- Download Swapto and verify your identity in the app.
- Deposit USDT to the address shown, on the network shown (TRC-20, ERC-20 or BEP-20). Choose auto-sell or hold.
- Sell, check the naira amount before you confirm, and withdraw to your bank. Naira arrives 5 to 10 minutes after you sell.
Do you pay tax when you sell USDT in Nigeria?
From 1 January 2026, profits from selling crypto are taxable under the Nigeria Tax Act 2025 at personal income tax rates. Keep a record of what you bought, when, and for how much. This is general information, not tax advice.
How do you stay safe when you sell USDT?
Save this list. You won’t think you need it until a “buyer” sends you a credit alert that never actually hits your account.
- Copy the address, then check it. Look at the first and last few characters before you hit send.
- Match the network. What you send on must match what the deposit screen shows.
- Trust your bank app, nothing else. On P2P, a screenshot or SMS proves nothing.
- Refuse third-party payments. If the name on the transfer isn’t the buyer’s, don’t release.
- Stay in the platform’s chat. Anyone pushing you to WhatsApp is a red flag.
- Use an account in your name. And keep a record of every sale and payout.

Frequently asked questions
What is the best site to sell USDT in Nigeria?
It depends on you. Want to skip the buyer? Swapto, Breet, Monica, Prestmit, Quickchain and Yesa buy USDT directly. Prefer to choose your buyer and maybe get a better rate? Try Bitget, Bybit, CoinCola or Remitano. Compare networks, fees and the naira you’ll actually get. Swapto publishes this guide and is one of the options in it.
Which network should I use to send USDT?
The one the receiving site shows on its deposit screen. TRC-20 addresses start with “T”. ERC-20 and BEP-20 both start with “0x”, so double-check. Send on the wrong one and the money can be gone for good.
Can I still sell USDT on Binance P2P in Nigeria?
No. Binance P2P delisted all NGN pairs on 28 February 2024 and ended naira deposits and withdrawals in March 2024.
Where can I sell USDT at a high rate?
No site is highest all the time. Rates move every few minutes. P2P buyers sometimes pay more than a direct-sale quote, but you carry more risk for it. Compare the final naira amount, after fees, before you confirm.
How long does it take to get naira for USDT?
Three things add up: the network confirmation, the site’s processing and the bank transfer. Swapto states that naira reaches your bank 5 to 10 minutes after you sell. Other sites give their own times. None of them is a guarantee.
Is it legal to sell USDT in Nigeria?
Yes. The CBN lifted its restriction on banks serving crypto businesses in December 2023, and the Investments and Securities Act 2025 brings digital assets under SEC oversight. Swapto operates within this framework through a licensed partner.
Do I pay tax when I sell USDT?
From 1 January 2026, profits from selling crypto are taxable under the Nigeria Tax Act 2025 at personal income tax rates. Keep a record of what you bought, when, and for how much. This is general information, not tax advice.
